FORCE Technology Norway awarded its largest inspection and corrosion management services contract ever. The contract has an expected revenue of approximately USD 10 million over an initial three-year term.
The contract was awarded by BP to Oceaneering International with FORCE Technology Norway AS as subcontractor. The expected revenue of the total contract is USD 90 million over an initial three-year term.
The assets covered by FORCE Technology’s contract include all of BP’s upstream oil and gas facilities both onshore and offshore in Norway and the Netherlands.
Inspection methods
FORCE Technology Norway AS will provide Risk-Based inspection plans based on detailed corrosion assessments. These assessments will again be based on non-destructive testing (NDT) and specialised inspection services. NDT include magnetic particle, dye penetrant and visual inspections. Specialised inspections use more advanced technologies, such as computerised radiography and guided wave ultrasonics.
