Voltmeter with memory

Date: 2007-09-03

FORCE Technology has developed a new battery-driven voltmeter with memory, called a VMM measuring instrument.

The instrument has been developed especially for FORCE Technology’s ERE 20 reference electrodes, which normally are cast in concrete and used to evaluate the efficiency of cathodic protection systems and to monitor corrosion of the reinforcement in concrete constructions.

FORCE Technology's new Volt Meter Memory (VMM) for concrete measuring.

The VMM measuring instrument can save up to 1024 measurements of reference electrodes in its memory and works as a typical one channel data logger. In this way, it becomes easier to make potential measurements on concrete constructions, and the correct treatment of data is ensured.

It is also possible to convert the measured potential on an ERE 20 reference electrode to a value corresponding to an Ag/AgCl-reference electrode and thereby obtain a basis for comparison between the results just by pressing a key.

The voltmeter has a very high input impedance (>100 MΩ) which is required to make these potential measurements on concrete constructions.

Dansk Betondag 2007

The VMM measuring instrument will be launched at the conference, Dansk Betondag 2007, held on the 20th September. There FORCE Technology will have an exhibition at the Hotel Marriot in Copenhagen – where the event is being held.
