Things are going very well for FORCE Technology's branch in Trondheim, Norway. So well, in fact, that they expect to double the number of employees over the next two years to a total of 70.
Division Manager Torbjørn Sotberg and Sales Manager Terje Blakset explain the most important factors behind the quickly expanding staff: "The need for integrity management of offshore oil and gas fields is increasing, especially because the fields are growing older and require increased inspection and monitoring. Furthermore, the large industry players often outsource these types of tasks to companies like ours. And, not least, we are actually quite good at gaining market share from our competitors."
The Trondheim branch was spun off in 2003 from the listed company, CorrOcean and sold to Danish FORCE Technology. At the time of the sale there were a total of 20 employees, but in the last four years the staff has grown over 50% to 35 employees. As a result, the offices from that time grew too crowded. The branch has moved into new offices which are still located in Fossegrenda, but now at Hornebergveien 1.
