The Executive Committee of EuCheMS (European Association for Chemical and Molecular Sciences) has agreed to give Allan Astrup Jensen from FORCE Technology the Award for Service. This Award is given in recognition of his extensive contribution to European collaboration in environmental chemistry.

The award is presented at the 2nd EuCheMS Chemistry Congress in Torino, Italy, on 16-20 September 2008. This conference is expected to attract more than 3000 chemists and has 4 Nobel Prize winners as plenary speakers.
Who is EuCheMS?
EuCheMS which is the former Federation European Chemical Societies (FECS) promotes co-operation in Europe between non-profit-making scientific and technical societies in the field of chemistry whose membership consists largely of individual qualified chemical and molecular scientists and whose interests include the science and/or practice of chemistry. EuCheMS represents more than 100,000 members from approximately 40 countries in Europe.
