FORCE Technology participates at the 2008 NACE Corrosion

Also this year FORCE Technology presents papers on corrosion issues at the NACE Conference. The conference takes place in New Orleans from March 16th to March 20th.

Troels Mathiesen will present the paper “Unusual Corrosion Failures of Stainless Steel in low Chloride Waters”. Based on observations collected through failure investigation, possible theories for the cause of corrosion are discussed as well as precautions to avoid future corrosion.

Jan Elkjær Frantsen presents the paper “Common Corrosion Problems in the Brewery Sector”. Based on several case stories, the paper describes typical corrosion problems at breweries. Moreover, theories on why corrosion is common in the brewery sector as well as how the problems can be prevented are being discussed.

Svenn Magne Wigen talks about corrosion problems on the oil rig Sleipner in the North Sea.

During the conference, FORCE Technology will present their compentences within the field of NDT inspection. Our P-scan equipment will among others be demonstrated. This equipment is used for inspection of e.g. offshore and petrochemical installations, weldings and subsea inspection of platform legs.
