Western Jutland company Alslev Rustfri Montage A/S manufactures products for customers with links all over the world. Key to the company’s success are its stringent demands in terms of quality, which FORCE Technology – among others – is helping to document.

“We maintain our emphasis on quality throughout all phases of our production. This is simply something we have to do if we are to maintain a presence on the global market. Of course, this makes stringent demands of materials, staff and partners. And because we have these criteria, we will gladly tackle even very complex tasks,” explains engineer Hans Riisager of Alslev Rustfri Montage A/S.

This Varde company – which specialises in the production, delivery and assembly of structures made of stainless steel, aluminium and “black” steel – is of interest to customers with deliveries well outside the borders of Denmark. The company, which was established in 1986, has plenty of experience and practice in the manufacture of products for the offshore, food and process industries.

“Quality is the be-all and end-all of what we do. If we are unable to meet the demands of our customers, it can cost us money – a lot of money. And our customers too. This is why we are pleased with our partnership with FORCE Technology. They supply the documentation we need to make sure that our welds are compliant with applicable standards and qualities and they also function as sparring partners throughout the actual production process,” says Hans Riisager.

Complex production

“It is true that we have a good, close partnership with Alslev Rustfri Montage, which in many cases goes all the way from the company issuing a tender for production to the company supplying the product and installing it on the customer’s premises,” says Departmental Manager Henrik Winther Pedersen of FORCE Technology.

One contemporary example of this partnership can be found in Alslev Rustfri Montage’s production of condensers to oil refineries. The condenser is about 2.5 metres tall, 2 metres wide and 5 metres deep – a complex item to manufacture, with almost two thousand welds which have been checked using a selection of the broad range of testing methods available to FORCE Technology.

“We have been working on this project right from the very beginning, which means – for example – that we have prepared welding procedures and instructions and implemented checks regularly throughout the entire production process. When production is this complex, it is very important to make sure that we have the logistics in place right from the outset so that everyone involved knows what checks are to be carried out, and when. This gives us the best production flow,” says Henrik Winther Pedersen.

Quality and growth

“It is absolutely vital for us to be able to document the fact that our products are compliant with the requirements specifications. And that we can document this to a very valid level. This is something which FORCE Technology gives us a lot of help with. Quality is a must, after all, if we are to sustain growth on the domestic market, as well as globally,” says Hans Riisager of Alslev Rustfri Montage in Varde.
