Concrete monitoring is one of FORCE Technology's specialities. Our skilled and experienced specialists will help you in choosing the correct type of monitoring for your specific purpose.
CorroRisk
The CorroRisk probe has been developed for use on existing concrete structures. The probe ensures that reinforcement corrosion can be predicted in good time before the actual initiation. The planning of the necessary maintenance can be optimised and the result is a lower cost of repair and fewer traffic obstructions.
The CorroRisk probe is recommended to be used in all types of existing concrete structures, especially in aggressive corrosive environments and where visual inspection is difficult. This could e.g. be pillars in seawater, bridge decks, multi-storey car parks exposed to de-icing salt and various structures in swimming pools.

ERE 20
The ERE 20 is a true, long life Reference Electrode, which can be cast into the cover concrete to check the cathodic protection and to monitor the corrosion state of reinforcing steel or predict corrosion. Normally in newly cast concrete structures, but the electrode can also be installed in existing structures.
Advantages:
- Control of cathodic protection
- For potential measurements in wet and dry concrete
- Can be exposed to chloride or carbonation
- Does not induce corrosion in steel
- Does not change potential of steel
- Easy to install in new or old structures.
CorroWatch
The CorroWatch acts as an early warning system to predict the initial stages of corrosion in concrete structures. It is cast into the cover concrete, normally in newly cast concrete structures. The sensor can measure most of the relevant corrosion parameters.
Areas of use:
- Areas difficult to access, e.g. tunnels
- Bridges in marine environments
- Splash zones, e.g. pillars in sea water
- De-icing areas, e.g. parking floors/decks
- Structures heavily affected by acid rain, e.g. chimneys.
GalvaPulse™
The GalvaPulse™ is a rapid, non-destructive polarization technique for the evaluation of reinforcement corrosion rate as well as half-cell potentials. The GalvaPulse™ is a lightweight system supplied with batteries for optimum portability and is designed to be operated by one man.
Advantages:
- Estimation of the corrosion rate in the reinforcement can be made in less than 10 seconds
- Reliable evaluation of reinforcement corrosion also in wet, carbonated or inhibitor treated concrete
- Half-cell potential and electrical resistance of the cover layer are given
- Lightweight electrode / hand held computer and easy to operate software
- Durable Guard Ring system for focusing the current field to the reinforcement
- Measurements possible on uneven and curved surfaces.
