Exposure and service life
Light and weather affect most materials. To produce a product with a long service life and subsequently customer satisfaction, the manufacturer must control the consequence of these influencing factors.
There is a big difference as to the extent of the influence from product to product. Does exposure to light take place indoor and through a window glass or is the product manufactured for outdoor use exposed to sun, rain, frost and moisture. If the product is meant for use near the cost line or at sea the influence of saltwater has to be taken into account as well.
