FORCE Technology offers consultancy within flow optimization of SCR units with emphasis on operational efficiency and energy savings, which improves the economic performance of the SCR unit for the end user. Furthermore we focus on the economic benefits for our clients by minimizing the construction costs.

In selecting the necessary equipment for installation, the end user and the catalyst supplier need to target demands such as: 

  • Optimizing NOx reduction
  • Minimizing the need for additional booster fan capacity
  • Maximizing the durability of the unit

Investigations of the operation of a SCR unit, as part of the construction process, are necessary to obtain warranties on the efficiency. Suppliers of catalysts prescribe guidelines for the distribution of flow, gas concentrations, temperature and fly ash at the inlet to the primary devices. To meet these requirements FORCE Technology offers a comprehensive flow investigation and optimization. The following design issues are targeted:

  • Injection grid optimization and mixer layout
  • Static mixer inlet flow conditioning
  • Catalyst layer inlet flow conditioning
  • Minimizing the total pressure drop for the SCR unit
  • Air pre-heater inlet conditioning
