With increasing pressure to improve infrastructure throughout the world, bridge construction is constantly experiencing engineering challenges. Technological developments allow bridges to be constructed longer and lighter than previously attempted. The limitations on the span of bridges are being pushed continuously. Further, many bridges are designed as landmark structures with challenging architectural and structural features.
FORCE Technology – Division for Maritime Industry (DMI) / Hydro- and Aerodynamics Department - has more than 20 years experience in aerodynamic investigations of bridges. Our previous work includes some of the most well-known bridges in the world, e.g.: Stonecutters Bridge (Hong Kong), Messina Strait Crossing (Italy), Su-Tong Bridge (China), Pont de Normandie (France), Höga Kusten (Sweden) and Great Belt and Öresund Bridges (Denmark).
In course of these projects, FORCE Technology has utilized the in-house expertise and experience available. We have continuously developed techniques as well as methods which ensure that investigations are carried out efficiently and cost effectively.
