Model Workshop

FORCE Technology has a large multi discipline workshop where our professional model builders construct ships in miniature size. No matter what model type our customers demand, we are able to build an exact replica.  Here, any type of models used in our wind tunnels and towing tanks can be manufactured - such as miniature replicas of ships, offshore structures, buildings and bridges.

We have a large CNC controlled milling machine capable of milling models up to 12m of length. We use the most sophisticated CNC controlled milling machines for fast and accurate production of the different ship models.

The highly skilled craftsmen are working with all sorts of materials such as foam, wood, plastic, metal, glass fiber reinforced plastic, carbon fiber etc.

The workshop is divided into three sections:

• Small models – Primarily for the wind-tunnel models
• Large model – Ship and offshore models to be tested in the towing tanks
• Electrical section – Design and manufacturing of all electrical systems
